DEEP DELVE – THE RPG- PROGRESS REPORT-05

Yes, skipped a day. Just working through. Most player mechanics are in place, just trying to get the right mix on the classes.

The stickler has been the critters. I have a wonderful stash of creatures that I have managed to hide from myself doing back ups the other day. So it looks like they will be last on the list.

The alpha will be posted soon and feedback is greatly appreciated and thank you to everyone who contacted me about this project. I hope that it achieves its primary goal-introduce new players to the world of role playing.

Yes, a slight change in title. Fell behind a bit yesterday but have moved forward today.

Narrowing down artwork and working on encounter tables. Most of the rules affecting players have been worked out as has combat.

I'm a little off schedule but hope to pick it up as the evening progresses.

DROP & DELVE RPG -(Working Title) - PROGRESS REPORT-03

Have gathered a list of Russian names to make character generating a little easier. Was looking for old pictures and material that I might use as cover and internal art and ran across the awesome photos of their Metro. Jeeeez...they make everybody else look lame. That is some kind of swank for a subway system. And I'm not even joking. Check it out if you like:

Looking now for the non-earthly creatures to include so I can start putting the encounter tables together.

Speaking of creatures, they released a free download for all the creatures by terrain in the Tome of Horrors complete and the lairs section that was only in the S&W version.

DROP & DELVE RPG - PROGRESS REPORT

So most of the hand written notes have been typed in and the Encounter maps are prepped and numbered. I left them small for the possibility of being in a pocket mod so if you are shooting for full page coverage make certain you have the 'fit to page' feature enabled on your printer. It also means you can layout more than one on a single sheet to save paper and space.

Will be reviewing now but I'm afraid my eyes have had it for today so best to give them a rest and get ready for tomorrow. I'm approaching this like one of the 24 hour challenges but honest to god I don't know how those guys do it. Hats off to the 1day designers and the awesome games you have produced. If I can do this thing in less than a week I'll be happy.

DROP & DELVE RPG (from the Alpha build)

The Year: 3122

‘The Event’ tore a rip in the space/time continuum and nearly destroyed all of civilization, sending mankind into a new dark age. A flood of strange creatures from elsewhere invaded our world.

The Setting: The Underworld beneath Moscow.

Adventurers now go down to the depths of the city's underground to recover treasures from the past. Most never make it back.

And now it's your turn.

You will have to use strength and stealth and recently acquired powers to overcome the many creatures, traps and other hazards that now exist in the tunnels and catacombs to succeed.

Will you come home rich or just be another casualty left in the dark corridors of an alien world?

Needed Elbow Room

So it starts with a conversation where I make up a name and as it resonates I feel it might be the solution to several problems I've been trying to work my way out of.

Classic Realms of Adventure is now my new imprint for present and future projects. I intend to keep the current development blog for Forsaken Souls but will likely put everything else, like the Junior edition, the free newsletter, the pdf e-zine, etc, and whatever else creeps up between now and forever here.

Sorry for the leaping about and all of this will be announced properly when I have a few more pieces in place.
